Last week was such a crazy busy fun week. We never stopped going and I can defiantly feel that summer is here because it is always so busy. Yesterday we finally got our yard finished by laying sod.
This week we were so happy to be a part of a fundraiser event that Kelsie Emm Photography did for a sweet family. I grew up with the mother of this sweet boy down the street and when I saw this event going on I just had to be a part of it. I wanted to help show my support. Today on my blog I am talking about the new trend that is happening with half up hairstyles. I was so excited when this trend decided to come back because this was my go to look in elementary school. One thing I love about this hairstyle is it is great for dirty hair when you don’t want to wash it, and also the messier the better. I’m just loving the new “boho” look, even though when I try and wear boho I still try and smooth it and make it look nice. I hope you like my top 5 top favorites to do. Also I made all the names up so hopefully I’m pretty close to their real names.
#1 The half up pull through bun. This is one that I really wasn’t a fan of at first and thought it looked so funny… that was until I tried it…. HOLY COW it’s my favorite!! I was shocked how much I loved it, it’s seriously my go to look, and it’s great for getting out the door fast.
#2 The Mohawk top braid. (well that’s what I named it) This one takes a little bit more effort, but it’s one of those styles where you spend more time on the braid and everyone thinks you spent all morning on it, when really it was fast and easy.
#3 The messy bun boho braid. If I had more time on my hands I would most likely be wearing this everyday because it’s my favorite. I love messy buns they will always be part of my life no matter what, we are best friends.
#4 half up pony tail. If you look in my videos and on my Instagram you can tell I love this one and I wear it way too much. It’s so great for when you want to look professional and classy. I love wearing this when I teach Gelish classes because it’s a great way to keep my hair out of my eyes and still look cute. I also feel like I’m a hip young teenager again when I wear it.
#5 The wrap around Boho Braid. I know what you are thinking you are going to scroll up and not look at this one because it looks too hard. Trust me it’s so simple you literally make two braids down the side then wrap them and pin them up and hide the ends. I love this one it’s a great messy “hippy” look that makes you feel like you want world peace and love. It make me look mature too which is also great because Momma is about to loose her marbles!!

Last night I got a spray tan with my friend and it makes me really summer hungry, but it’s still chilly here so I’m still in jackets. I wanted so show you how I hurried and threw this outfit together really quick! I had Friday lunch with the girls today and I was at the gym this morning so we had to be out the door fast. Not to mention that is almost impossible when you have two kids. We made it, better late than never. Also I was so excited to get my nails done, and by that I mean stay up all night at home and do them myself. I don’t know whats wrong with me but when I see a new trend I have to try it. I know they are a weird design but I was very surprised how much I loved them. I hope you enjoy, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!

I’m so excited to announce that I will now be using Olaplex at the salon! This product has changed everything about hair and has brought hair back to life, it’s pretty much liquid gold. The thing I love most about it is that it isn’t like a leave-in conditioner that puts a layer of something over your hair, it actually is a ingredient that changes the chemistry of your hair and heals from within, and repairs all the broken bonds. It isn’t going to fade and wear off, it will change the hair and restore it. Here is what Olaplex says: “With this fresh outlook, this dream team invented a single ingredient chemistry, that is free of silicone or oils, that links broken bonds in the hair during and after chemical services making them stronger than they were before.” I have been so embarrassed with my hair lately because it is so damaged especially to get it this white blonde. My ends have been so fried and frizz out on my ends, not to mention it was a rats nest all the time. A few days ago, I used this when I lightened my roots and then I used the no.3 today and my hair is completely different. I have been wearing my hair up in top knots everyday because it has just been so damaged. I’m so relieved that I was able to save my hair and it is better than ever!
I also have had my Halo Couture for over a year and it was needing some tender loving care. I put the no.3 treatment on them for like an hour and they seriously feel like the day I got them. Yahoo!!! This is for professional use only so make sure to ask your stylist if they can use Olaplex when you get your hair lightened, the service will cost a little bit more but you will be very happy with the results.
P.S I don’t know if you can tell, but I have a horrible cold sore so that’s why my pictures are of only one side of my face.
