Quick and Easy Stack Braid Tutorial

Hello Pretties!

Today I decided to do a tutorial on a stack braid. They are so popular right now that I had to try it out myself. This hairstyle is so fast and easy and as you can tell in the video, it works great for those dirty hair days. Check out my video for some visuals and read my steps below.

Stack Braid Tutorial - Side

  1. First off, I have a Halo Couture extension piece in my hair and I started out by doing a dutch braid. This is when you do everything exactly like a regular french, but you braid the pieces under instead of over. I am continually picking up pieces from the outside as I braid under.
  2. I then tug on my braid to make my hair look fuller, and to also give it that “messy” look. As you can tell I got a little carried away. It helps a lot when I am trying to cover up some extension pieces.
  3. Next you will want to grab all your hair to one side and I did a super quick regular fish tail braid, that way it would give the two braid more dimension. I also pulled this one out a lot as well. *If you would like to see this done in a step-by-step, let me know in the comments below.*
  4. Last step and the best step! I took my braid and placed it where I wanted it to lay, mainly to cover up my extensions that might be showing and I took some blonde bobby pins and I started pinning. It is very important that you have the bobby pin go straight down at a 90 degree angle, that way you can hide it sandwiched into the braid.

I love this quick out-the-door hairstyle. The best part is that anytime I do things like this I always have people thing I spent so long on my hair. I also love wearing this with a big hat, it will be my go-to fall look.
