October Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Hello Pretties!

Today I’m showing you what I got in my October “Ipsy” bag and I wanted to tell you my thoughts on these products I received. I didn’t love my bag the last month and was disappointed with it, so when I received this month’s Ipsy bag I was so extremely impressed that I wanted to share it will you all. For those of you that don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription where you pay $10 a month and they will send you usually one full size product, and some sample size products, it always comes with at least 5. So let’s jump right in!!

oh and p.s I think the bag is just so adorable this month!

First product I want to talk about is the “Make up Forever Hd Foundation.” I was so surprised/shocked/happy that this was in the bag. I LOVE this foundation and have purchased it in the past. This is a very pricey foundation as well, so I think it’s so amazing that people can test it out this way before buying it.  I was nervous about the color they sent me because it was so light, but I’m really white in the fall and winter that I think it’s a great fit. I also am so excited that I can use this for traveling. so A+ on this item.

Second  is a mud face mask by “Pur” and this mask is called “Dirty Girl.” Okay so I used this mask last night and I always use masks about once a week so I’m pretty use to them… But this mask.. Holy Cow!! It was insane. I really felt like it was working. I could feel it clearing out the toxins in my skin, it was burning a little on my blemishes and it was getting so tight on my face that I couldn’t leave it on for the full 20 min.  I thought it did a great job at cleaning out black heads, and my zits. I also liked how my pours looked in the morning. I think that this was very effective, and if you are looking for a detox mask, then this is great. I  think that I will be purchasing the full size bottle. I really liked how it worked. I think this gets an A+ but if you aren’t use to masks then this is going to be quite the surprise for you.

The third item I received was a lipstick from the brand “Noyah“. I have used a lipstick from them before and I loved it; however, it was a light pink. This shade is called “Current News” and the picture online looks nothing like the shade I’m wearing here. I love the shade though I think it is so gorgeous for fall, I also love how moisturized these are for a lipstick. This lasted lasted a really long time on my lips. The only thing that I did not like, is that it transferred so easily. When I held my baby she hit me in the face and the lipstick smeared on me and also a lot got on her hand. After that I was so stressed out about anyone getting too close to my face. That was my only complaint. The shade is A+ and the lipstick feels amazing, but yes C- for transferring so easily. I do think I would purchase the lighter colors from them in the full size lipstick because I love the formula.

Fourth item was a tiny little eye shadow sample pallet, by “Jessica Liebeskind” I have never ever heard of this brand before, and I got the shade “Vanilla/ Espresso.” I thought that this eye shadow was going to be a cheap kind and not good at all, just judging by on how it looked. I then swatched my finger in the colors and I was super impressed by how soft it felt, and by how pigmented they are. I used the dark in my crease and I really loved the color because it was a rich beautiful matte. I did look up the price and brand and found it in these same two colors in a  full sized pan and it was $30. I honestly in my opinion don’t think that it is worth that much for just these two shades of colors, I would much rather get a pallet with lots of different shades for that much. I did really like it and will be watching the brand to see if they do come out with more products. I think over all that this was a B.

My last item is an liquid eyeliner by NYX. I love this brand and I loved this product. If I got this shade in any other month besides October I would not like it. I think with this season it is so fun for Halloween time, I got a grey shade and I don’t think I would wear it by itself, but you can kind of see it here in the picture where I put it over the black eyeliner and I love how it turned out. I think it added a little bit more dimension and I just loved how long this lasted and how metallic it was. I will defiantly be repurchasing more colors. They have tons of different varieties in such fun colors. I think for halloween these would be perfect for drawing on your face for your costume, especially with how long it lasted. A+ with this item.

I hope that this helps you out, so if you maybe don’t want to commit to Ipsy you can check out some of the products that worked for me. I think over all that if I get at least one product I love that it is worth it. I got more then one in this bag and I am so happy with it.

Thanks for stopping by!
