Bounce Buddies

I’m so excited to team up with Bounce Buddies for this post. Now, I know Christmas is almost over but these were a huge hit in our house.

When we received the packages I was not expecting to have the cutest packaging. They came in a big egg and the kids were just ecstatic. The cutest part about the egg is it has a little slot that you can reuse it for a piggy bank, or as my kids did another toy to play with.

Next, after opening the egg it had the bounce buddy inside and the best part is it included a pumper. I was shocked at how easy it was to pump up the little buddies. Even my kids could help. I timed how long it took to pump up our little green dinosaur it was 3:04. It’s perfect for kids because when they love a toy so much they want to play with it now.

My kids had huge smiles on their faces and it was such a fun time playing for them. I love that it helps with developing their balance and coordination. I think that if you need an easy gift idea for a child these will be perfect. The best part is they are only $25. I think that is so affordable and the quality is amazing. Click here to shop!

Thank you so much for your support! this is a paid collaboration with bounce buddies and I truly gave my honest experience with them. We loved it.

$10 Gifts for the Gals

Needing a quick gift guide idea??

I absolutely love giving gifts and some times you need a cute gift idea for your nail gal, teacher or just a fun friend.

  • I love love my Phone fin and who doesn’t have a phone? They are $10 and ship really fast when I have ordered them. I love how they have a reusable gel sticky part. That way when I change my case I can switch them over no problem. I hardly ever drop my phone since I got one and it’s so great to use to prop your phone up to watch a show. You can also stick them in your air vent when you are driving. I love how flat they go down so you can still throw it on a wireless charger, put your phone in you back pocket easily and put it on the treadmill without worrying about your phone falling off. I can’t say enough good things about it.
  • Next, is lipgloss. The best part about christmas time is ulta and sephora have gift sets available and I love getting the lip gloss packs. You can break them up and throw a lip gloss in a bag with some candy and they are great for your friends. Here is the one I purchased by Anastasia Beverly hills. It makes each one $7, throw it in with some chocolate and you know your girl will be so excited.
  • Another makeup item but it’s just too good I have to share. This one is also $10 and has the perfect colors for anyone, it’s very versatile. I love the packaging and this brand is such a great go to for gifts. I just love their eyeshadows. This is the color I got here from Juvia’s Place.
  • Makeup blender. This makeup sponge is a great gift, its amazing! I love that it comes in a 4 pack so you can split them up and throw a cute cheesey saying with it. “I hope your Christmas is blended and beautiful” okay I’m the worst at coming up with catchy phrases but it makes them $4 a piece so you’re welcome!
  • I love this bottle dispenser for traveling. I know amazon is a time crunch right now but I love these. They are amazing to add product to and then when you travel you only have to take one item and it’s full of your shampoo, conditioner, face wash, baby wash. I can’t say enough great things about it. Go check it out because its the coolest gadget. Oh and of course it’s only $8.99.
  • Gel pens. I got these a year ago and they are used so much. I love that I can color coat so many things. I just them for any list I’m doing, I especially love it for calendars and I can make it look so fun like a rainbow.

19 Freezer Meals Before Baby Comes

I am obsessed with freezer meal cooking. It is a game changer for busy moms. I start making these meals when I was 37 weeks pregnant to prepare us for when the baby arrives. Here I am 5 months later and I still have a couple left. They saved us and made it so much easier to take care of four kids/homeschool (thanks covid) and also live the new born life.

Week 37 is freezer meal week!!!

I am compiling 19 freezer meals together! I’m not gonna be the person that goes in depth with each meal and tells why their grandma cut their end of the roast.

First off there is no way I’m going to do this all in one day. I will show what I’m doing each day to slowly do some meals.

Day 1.

Pork roast!

I just picked up a big pork roast and I can make so many meals out of it. This is where I usually start and then I divide it up into baggies for different meals.

I love having sweet pork for Nachos, quesadillas, and burritos. It’s so convenient to pull them out and use.

I threw a roast in my instant pot to cook all day. (I use my instant pot as a crock pot) I’m cooking it on high for about 5 hours or when it shreds. You could do low for 8-10. All I did was pop it in with some salt, pepper, onion salt and garlic salt.

Make sure you you have it on venting when you do slow cooking. Again cook it plain then you can add the sauce later and make a couple different meals from it.

Sweet pork

6LB roast

Sauce:

2 cans elpato Mexican tomatoe sauce

1 cup brown sugar

4 cans tomato sauce (8oz)

I shred it and add the sauce, then I divide this into 4 bags, wait till they cool down before putting in the freezer. Then pop them in a crockpot for an hour on high and it will be ready to go.

I serve this as a burrito with rice, black beans, and what ever toppings you like. My favorite is the adding the

Home made tomatillo dressing:

1 packet dry butter milk ranch dressing mix

1 cup butter milk (I just do 1TB vinegar in a cup of milk)

1 cup mayo

2-3 tomatillos (peeped)

1 tsp. Cayenne pepper

Juice from 1 lime

¾ bunch of cilantro

1 tsp crushed garlic

Add all to a blender and chill

BBQ Pork

Since I cooked such a big pork roast I pulled out 3 cups of shredded pork and added some BBQ sauce to it. Then I can pull it out and serve it on buns with some tater tots.

BBQ Sauce Recipe

1 cup BBQ sauce

⅛ cup brown sugar

1 T apple cider vinegar

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon liquid smoke

Add sauce to pork and freeze when cooled down.

Day 2

I like making the chicken meals

Grilled Chicken Marinade

¼ cup olive oil

2 T lime juice

2 T minced garlic

1 t cumin

Salt and pepper

Mix up marinade and add to raw chicken. You can marinate in the fridge all day. I choose to freeze them, to cook them I will pull them out in the morning and grill it. I love serving this over sweet potatoes and topping with a sour cream mixture of (lime, sour cream and garlic)

Creamy Italian Chicken

(Serving is for a small family I make two freezer bags of this doubled, or larger families I would double it)

2 chicken breasts

½ block cream cheese

1 can cream of chicken soup

½ packet of dry Italian seasoning packet

Pull out of freezer and crockpot high for 3 hours, add cup of cheese and serve over rice.

Chicken All Dressed Up

5 chicken thighs

1 cup ketchup

¼ cup brown sugar

2 T lemon juice

1 T dry mustard

1 teaspoon salt

Crockpot 6-8 hours on low and serve over rice

This one does get a little watery you can always add some more sauce if you need.

( this is for one serving, I doubled it and froze them)

Chicken Spaghetti

(Recipe is from @thecountryspoon) I was a family favorite

2 chicken breasts

½ small can of diced green chilies

¼ t cumin

¼ t garlic powder, salt, and pepper

½ can cream of mushroom soup

½ green pepper

½ red pepper

½ onion

½ celery stick

½ t parsley

Add all the ingredients to your bag. I doubled it and make two freezer bags. Cook high for 3 hours shred chicken and serve with half a box of spaghetti. Add cheese shredded cheese.

Last day I batched cooked 4 lbs of ground hamburger

Day 3

I cook a huge batch of ground beef, weigh it out and separate it into bags.

Hamburger casserole

1 can tomato soup

1 can corn

1 lb cooked hamburger

Teaspoon of salt and pepper

Pour all ingredients in a bag and you’re good to go.

Heat up and serve with half a box of noodles and a cup of cheese. Stir all together.

Beef and Cheese Pasta

(Recipe from @thecountryspoon)

1lb cooked ground beef

½ onion diced

½ t minced garlic

1 cup marinara sauce

½ can diced tomatoes

½ teaspoon basil, oregano, and Italian seasoning

1 TBS Worcestershire sauce

1 beef bouillon cube

1 cup spinach

1-2 hours on high add cooked penne pasta and mozzarella cheese. (I double it and make two small family meals) freeze once the meat has cooled down.

Kicked Up Meatballs

(This one I didn’t use the ground beef)

1 ½ lb of precooked frozen meatballs

Sauce:

10 oz orange marmalade

½ cup ketchup

3 T soy sauce

1 T hot sauce

1 T minced garlic

Mix up sauce and pour over meatballs. I divided this into 2 freezer bags since I have a smaller family. Serve over rice and with egg rolls. (Warm up in crockpot for 1-2 hours on high)

Those are all the recipes I worked on the whole week to help our family after we have the baby. The pork meal I was able to get 5 meals out of

(sweet pork I got 4 meals I can use the meat on nachos, burritos, or quesadillas)

All the other meals I did two of each… that puts me at a grand total of….. 19 meals!! Yahoooo.

How to go 7 days without washing your hair

I decided to let you all into my diary of how I go 7 days without washing my hair.

Day 1-

Dear Diary,

It is the first day of hair washing day and I feel

F A B U L O U S!!

So soft, so clean so F L U F F Y!

Day 1 is for washing and wearing your hair straight. I always do my hair straight on the first day because it will tame everything and help set up our styles for the next days (you can also wear it for a couple of days if you like wearing it straight). One thing I feel like is extra crucial for starting the 7 day challenge is to make sure that you do a very good shampoo. I usually will wash my hair three times in the shower to make sure all the build-up is out and my hair is squeaky clean.

DAY 2

Dear Diary,

Day 2= curls!

This is my favorite day of the week. Any special event I have coming up I will always plan for day 2.

This is usually my first day of curls. I make sure that I do each and every layer and spend more time on it because I like to be lazier on the other days. Time spent now means time saved later.

DAY 3

Dear Diary,

Today is Leftover meatloaf!

We are going to work with what we got. Just remember, you like leftover meatloaf.

For day three I simply take a brush to my hair and then just call it good. I will fix some pieces in the front if I sleep pretty crazy.

DAY 4

Dear Diary,

Today I have nowhere to go and I’m going to try and squeeze one more day in of some leftover curls.

DAY 5

Dear Diary,

Today is the first day of dry shampoo. It has given me hope that I can finish off with a gold medal.

Now I have tried so many dry shampoos and I’m extremely picky because I struggle to put on more smells on dirty hair. Since I have long hair I also don’t like it to add more build up to my hair. My favorite dry shampoo is from the brand R&Co that we sell at the salon. The shampoo is called Skyline. I also love spraying on the Oribe Mystify Restyling spray because on this day, I will go back in and curl some pieces so I like to have a new layer of protection on my hair from the heat.

DAY 6

Dear Diary,

We are getting very close to the end. Today’s style choices are:

#1 Bang Braid

#2 Extra side part

#3 Ponytail

#4 Chunky side braid.

#5 Top KNOT

Today I went with the side braid. I usually resort to one of these on day 6.

DAY 7!!!!

Dear Diary,

We are here day 7! I’m so happy I was able to get through this. However, I feel like we need to create a distraction. Here are my choices.

#1 Bun

#2 Full ponytail

#3 Bandana

#4 Extra Large earrings.

#5 Hat

We made it through all the days!! Just remember you can totally customize this to fit your life and style. I am always trying to mix it up and switch up days, or even do some fun styles. I would love to hear if you have tried it, and also if you have any questions.

Q&A

  • How do you keep it from going frizzy?? I usually have to straighten the pieces by my ears and I love using serums to help, especially if the weather puts a damper on things. I love using Tinsel from R&CO, or I also love Moroccan Oil.
  • How did you train your hair to go 7 days??? I honestly feel like it is a training session that you have to do. If I were just starting out I would probably go 3 days the first time then add a day each time till I worked up to 7. Brushing it is crucial to help get those oils dispersed.
  • What is your favorite dry shampoo?? SKYLINE I love it because it doesn’t leave a residue or smell. Any hair color can use it and it leaves your hair feeling amazing.
  • What shampoo do you use?? Right now I use Televison from R&CO and I absolutely love it. I feel like shampooing is key in going 7 days, because you doing want one that’s going to put a waxing layer or leave a film on it. I also think scrubbing each layer is important, I also wash mine 3 times in the shower to get all the build-up out which helps me go longer.
  • Do you blow dry your hair or air dry? I always blow dry mine, even if it’s only the top layer. Creating that volume will help keep it off the scalp longer and that is key to stop some of that grease from showing. This will also help with frizziness and give you a smoother finish. Never blow dry your hair when you get straight out of the shower, I let mine air dry 80% before I start blowdrying.

I hope this helped and answered all of your questions. If there is any product info or links you need, feel free to ask.

Xoxo Pretties
